Shepherd's Bush Market Tube Station is a London Underground station located in the district of Shepherd's Bush in west London, England. It is on the Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines, between Goldhawk Road and Wood Lane stations, and it lies in Travelcard Zone 2. The entrances to the station are on the Uxbridge Road.
The station was originally called simply Shepherd's Bush when it opened in 1914, and it was renamed Shepherd's Bush Market in 2008 to distinguish it from other nearby stations with the same name.
The present station opened in 1914 but a station has existed in this locality for much longer; an older Shepherd's Bush station, built in 1864, stood just south of the present site on the other side of the Uxbridge Road in the market area. The current station was built to replace the original station, which was then demolished.
Despite now being part of the Underground network, this is an elevated railway built on brick arches.
