Brigham Circle is a trolley-train stop on the "E" branch of the MBTA's Green Line in Boston, MA. Along with the Longwood Station, it is the closest stop to Harvard Medical School, the Harvard School of Public Health and the rest of the Longwood Medical and Academic Area, all of which are within a short walk from the station. The Station is Handicapped Accessible.
Located at the intersection of Tremont and Huntington, Brigham Circle is a part of the Mission Hill neighborhood and is the closest commercial center, with a grocery story, a pizzeria restaurant (Penguin), various drug stores, bistros, banks and taverns. Nearby, there is an entrance, a stairway leading to Puddingstone Park.
The station is named for the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (now a wing of the larger Brigham and Women's Hospital), which stands at one side of the circle. Brigham and Women's extends away from the circle up Francis Street to the north; the area to the northeast is taken up by Harvard facilities.
Occasionally when there are high volumes of traffic in Jamaica Plain, the "E" branch of the Green Line terminates at Brigham Circle to improve service frequency on the branch.
