Panepistimio (which means "University" in Greek) is a station on Athens Metro Line M2 (Red). It opened on 28 January 2000,and is adjacent to the National Library of Greece, the National & Kapodisttrian University of Athens and the Academy of  Athens. It has 2 underground platforms & the Station is Accessible.

When Line M4(Orange) of Athens Metro is completed, the station will have an underpass connection with "Akademia" another metro station on Line M4 (Orange0
