Southport is an 'l' station on the CTA's Brown Line. It is located at 3411 N. Southport Avenue in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. It was put into service in 1907 as part of the Northwestern Elevated Railroad's Ravenswood branch. The station was reconstructed during 2007-2008 to support eight railcars, ADA requirements, and Brown Line modernization. The station reopened on March 30, 2008. The stations that are adjacent to Southport are Paulina to the west and Belmont to the southeast. In 2009, 917,024 passengers used this Station.
